A cat and an elephant trade places on Lair-bnb。 Tabitha the cat goes on a voyage to the rain forest and Fritz the elephant ends up in Tabitha’s house。 Moments of fun, distress, adventure, and disaster ensue。 I love the email format of the text between the two characters, which I’ve never encountered in a picture book before。

Tabitha and Fritz Trade Places is such a fun book filled with illustrations that pop off the page。 Kids and adults alike will fall in love with these characters as well as their adventures and the "no place like home" lesson。 I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this story! My first thought after reading this book: Can "Lair bnb" be a real thing, please?! Tabitha, a pampered house cat, and Fritz, a rainforest dwelling elephant, find each other on Lair bnb and plan to swap "lairs" for a taste of something new。 Written as an epistolary in email form, the laughs start right away as we see the two swapping emails in preparation for their trips, and continue until the two have returned from their adventures (are there MORE adventures in store in future books?!)。 Katie F My first thought after reading this book: Can "Lair bnb" be a real thing, please?! Written entirely as a series of cute and clever letters back and forth, this story is packed with humor and heart。 It tells the story of a wild elephant named Fritz and a pampered suburban cat named Tabitha who are both itching for a change of pace, a change of scenery, so they change places。 The wordplay alone is an adventure for any read-aloud and the characters of Tabitha and Fritz are delightful, relatable, and loveable。 Katie is masterful with her language and the art is bright and inviting Written entirely as a series of cute and clever letters back and forth, this story is packed with humor and heart。 It tells the story of a wild elephant named Fritz and a pampered suburban cat named Tabitha who are both itching for a change of pace, a change of scenery, so they change places。 The wordplay alone is an adventure for any read-aloud and the characters of Tabitha and Fritz are delightful, relatable, and loveable。 Katie is masterful with her language and the art is bright and inviting。 This will delight kids and could even inspire them to seek out their own pen pals! 。。。more

This is such a great story! Not only is it entertaining, funny, and sweet, but there are several morals that present themselves throughout the narrative。 Being thankful for your home and those around you is a great lesson for all ages。 The ability to keep an open mind and make new friends is also a great takeaway。 The illustrations are extremely engaging and the overall book evokes a sense of fun! 5 stars!

Tabitha and Fritz Trade PlacesAfter an intriguing opportunity through Lair BNB, Tabitha and Fritz decided to trade homes for a chance at something different。 At first, there’s lots of fun and intriguing experiences as each animal explores the other’s habitat but after some mishaps and misunderstandings, home begins to feel better! What a sweet story about the ways we imagine other people's lives and compare them to our own。 Parents and teachers will find this book helpful in talking about perspective, and kids will love the illustrations that accompany this fun story。 Vibrant colors and a hint of modern tech really round out the narrative。 What a sweet story about the ways we imagine other people's lives and compare them to our own。 Parents and teachers will find this book helpful in talking about perspective, and kids will love the illustrations that accompany this fun story。 Vibrant colors and a hint of modern tech really round out the narrative。 。。。more

What a fun book! I loved the epistolary format! Kids will giggle their way through this silly story about a domesticated cat trading places with a wild elephant through Lair BNB。 I expected lots of laughs, and that’s exactly what I got! The illustrations add tons of humor to the already funny text。 There’s also a nice message about trying new things, making new friends, and appreciating what you already have。 The ending left open the possibility of a sequel in which Tabitha and Fritz travel toge What a fun book! This sweet and funny story is a great way to show that while the grass is not ALWAYS greener on the other side, you can make new friends and learn new ways of life while you're there。 Which makes home all the more welcome when you get back。 Teachers will find Tabitha and Fritz makes a great jumping off point for teaching letter writing and how that works in storytelling。 The illustrations are fun and funny, and add depth and humor to the story。 A great pairing of text and images。 Love! This is a sweet story of friendship and "when life gives you lemons" solutions。 I love the color pallet, it feels summery and carefree。 The letter writing style will make a great curriculum tie in for teachers。 My favorite character is Fritz。 He is so innocent and his fanny pack cracks me up。 Kids will love this story。 Is it a series? What's it like to journey out beyond the world we know? As Fritz and Tabitha demonstrate, it's exciting and adventurous, but not without it's challenges。 This is a cute story about big changes and how those changes can lead to new and welcome transformations。 What's it like to journey out beyond the world we know?
